More about the sharks later. But here’s a story about how PETA wants  the killer whales at Sea World protected uner the U-S Constitution. UPDATE…..The judge presiding over the case in San Diego has thrown out the PETA lawsuit.

Now we can talk about the shark uprising. The figures are out and there were more shark attacks world wide last year. BUT, no one died. I think the sharks are just toying with us. If a shark wanted you dead, you’d be dead. They are like the mafia of the sea. Take heed people. TAKE HEED!!!!

A Florida lawmaker wants to ban those using food stamps from buying sweets. Come on, fat people on welfare isn’t a bad thing. The jokes practically write themselves.

The female Tampa twins that had to drink donkey semen on an episode of Fear Factor that never aired have gotten a new quasi-showbiz offer. I’m sure they would do it just to pay their way through college or some such excuse.

A study out of Germany says Twitter is harder to resist than cigarettes and alcohol. So if you’re smoking, drinking and Twittering at the same time though, the effects should cancel each other out.

The owners of that Italian cruise ship that sank last month want to give each surviving passenger some cash to settle out of court. The amount? Around 15 grand American. Is that enough?

On the cruise ship subject, Italian authorities are making sure treasure hunters don’t loot the half sunken Costa Concordia. Where’s Jacques Cousteau when we need him.

The Florida Senate is looking at a bill that would REQUIRE you to pay taxes on stuff you buy off the internet. It’s a real double edged sword here. On one hand, no new taxes, but on the other, we need to be fair to local brick and mortar businesses. You decide.

According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, Florida is number one in the nation when it comes to prescription narcotic abuse. But there is some light at the end of that tunnel. A new D-E-A report says the number of oxycodone pills purchased by Florida doctors last year was down 97 percent from 20-10.

Listnen close guys and gals. Pfizer had to recall over 1 million birth control pills. Don’t worry, the pills still work, it’s the packaging that was messed up. Phew!!!!

More fall-out for B-P as a popular and iconic St. Petersburg Beach resort says the oil giant needs to cough up some cash after 20-10′s oil spill.

The small world at Disney just got a little hairy as the Mouse says male cast members can now sport a well kept beard or goatee. Female employees still need to dye that crap.

That Italian cruise ship is still half sunk off the Italian coast. And while searchers continue to look for dead bodies, some other crews will start pumping out the ships oil and fuel. Should be a big freaking mess. Thanks Francisco Shettino…allegedly anyway. We’ll see how it all plays out.

By the way, the company that owns the ship is giving survivors of the sinking 30 percent off their next cruise. How benevolent!

The whacko’s at the Westboro Baptist Church say they are going to picket Joe Paterno’s funeral. Too bad I can’t type what I really want to say about this.

There’s a foreign county’s oil rig sitting off the coast of Florida. Not sure if I trust Spain to run an oil rig. I barely trust Americans to run a rig the right way after the Gulf oil spill.

There’s actually one person in the world who’s sticking up for the show off captain of that Italian cruise ship.
